The construction of Euclid to explore the dark Universe will be led by Italy's Thales Alenia Space, which will be the prime contractor for the mission.  This selection kicks of the full industrial phase of the project, following the announcement last month that Astrium Toulouse will build the payload module -- the telescope and optical bench carrying the science instruments.
